Bowling, Culver's, and Berkots

Today (2/12/16) was such a fun day!  TRAILS and STEPS started our community trip with two games at Echo Lanes in Morris.  The kids had a great time bowling with their friends and teachers!  The first game was all business, but the second game was all about the fun! :)

I was able to bowl between 7 kids!

By the end of bowling everyone was starving, so off to Culver's we went.  I think the ice cream was everyone's favorite part....it was mine! :)

Finally, we headed back CC to do a little grocery shopping at Berkots.

We braved the snow, then sunshine, and cold, and ended up having a great day! :)

February 15-19

Have a nice long weekend! Stay warm! :)

February Public Library visit

Today (2/4/16) was our monthly trip to see Ms. Rene at the public library.  As always, we had a great time learning and having fun!  Since February is the month we think about love and hearts, Ms. Rene read a book about the human heart, showed us a human heart model, and let us try a stethoscope to hear our hearts.  After learning about the human heart, we read a book about zoo animals.  Our art project today was to make animals using different hearts.  I think the heart animals turned out so cute!

Groundhog's Day

Today (2/2/16) we celebrated Groundhog's Day!  We did all kinds of fun Groundhog activities: graphing, reading, writing, and snacking!  We were very excited to hear that Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow this year....early spring!  Let's hope Phil is right!! :)
