Pudding

Today (2/19/15) the kids made 3 types of puddings: chocolate, vanilla, and butterscotch.  We bought all of our ingredients last week while we were at Berkots.  I showed the kids where to find the directions on the each of the boxes, and they did a great job of reading and following along.  I think their favorite part was getting to use my mixer to mix the pudding mix and milk together.

Tomorrow we are going to do a taste test and make a graph of our favorite and least favorite flavors.  Today the kids had to make a smart guess on which flavor they thought they would like the most.  Chocolate came in with 5 votes, Butterscotch with 1, and Vanilla with 0.  Tomorrow we will find out for sure the favorite and least favorite pudding flavors! :)

Community

Today (2/10/15) we had a WONDERFUL community trip to McDonald's, Berkots, and Dollar General.  Everyone had a delicious breakfast at McDonald's.  The kids had a list of items to find and write the price while at Berkots.  They also had a few items to buy at Berkots and Dollar General for our Valentine's Day party and upcoming cooking classes.

You should all be very proud of your child.  Mrs. Williams and I went over the expected behaviors and we did not have to talk about expected behaviors any other time! :)

February 9-13

Because this week is kinda goofy with community, early dismissal, and Valentine’s Party, we will not have a story, letter, word, or number of the week.  Please read nightly with your child.

Library Visit

Due to the cold temperature this morning, we did not walk over to the CC Public Library.  Ms. Rene was kind enough to come to us!  We had a great visit reading books about Valentine's Day and learning about the Winter Reading Program at the CC Public Library this month.  Ms. Rene also brought over some books...as we usually get to check them out at the library.  It was a great visit...thank you Ms. Rene!!! :)
