100th Day!

It's hard to believe we have been in school for 100 days!  That means there are only 74 or 75 (something close) more days left to the 2014-2015 school year!  CRAZY!!

I had the kids bring in 100 of something small.  We had 10 different groups and 10 items.  We counted our 10 groups by 10 all the way to 100!

New Years and Dolphins!

Today has been an awesome first day back!  I have a feeling 2015 will be a great year!  This morning we read a story about New Years, did a craft, and wrote our goals for 2015.  Some of the goals from TRAILS included: reading a chapter book, saving money for a trip, and doing more art projects.

Before winter break, we read Dolphin Tale 2, watched the movie, and wrote letters/drew pictures for Winter and Hope at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.  Over break, we received 2 large envelopes from CMA.  We got different brochures from CMA, a picture of Winter and Hope, cards, and an information page about Winter.  We were all pretty excited knowing that our notes made it all the way to Florida and receiving mail back from CMA.

If you would like more information about Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Winter, and Hope visit:

January 5-9

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and relaxing break.  It was nice to have some time off to relax, recharge, and spend time with family!  We are in a new start of the school year, so let’s work together to help the kids be their best! :)

This week we will not have a story/number/word of the week.
